CSPPA AND ESL AGREE ON "RETURN TO LAN" PROTOCOL
During the past months, CSPPA, ESL and DreamHack have collaborated on establishing safe “Return to LAN” protocols. We are delighted to announce that we have now succeeded in agreeing on detailed protocols that will safeguard the health and safety of the players during LAN events and enable professional CS:GO to return to LAN events as soon as possible.
The COVID-19 pandemic exposes players and other stakeholders to significant health risks when travelling and participating in LAN events. CSPPA has been able to learn from the lessons that our colleagues in other sports have experienced during this time, including in the NBPA, NFLPA and FIFPRO. Combined with the extensive knowledge from ESL Gaming with regards to running CS:GO events, we have been able to establish protocols to minimize players’ exposure to COVID-19 related risks as much as possible.
The protocols will be updated on an ongoing basis in order to ensure that they reflect the rules and regulations of society in general as well as the specific rules incorporated in the country in which a LAN event is scheduled to take place.
